Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Caly ("the app", "we", "us"), an AI-powered calorie and macronutrient tracking application operated by Codexia. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What Caly Does

Caly helps you track your food intake by estimating calories and macronutrients. You can log a meal by taking a photo, scanning a product barcode, or describing what you ate. Based on a profile you set up, the app calculates personalized daily calorie and macro targets and shows your daily and weekly progress.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Caly. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should use the app only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. You are responsible for providing accurate information during setup and keeping it up to date, since your goals are calculated from it.

3. AI Estimates Are Not Exact

Caly's food analysis is powered by artificial intelligence and provides estimates only.

  • Calorie and macronutrient values are approximations, not exact measurements.
  • Accuracy varies with photo quality, portion size, how a dish is prepared, and how well the food can be recognized.
  • You should treat the numbers as a helpful guide, and adjust entries when you know better. We make no guarantee as to the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated results.

4. Health Disclaimer

Caly is a general wellness and tracking tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, nutritional, or professional health advice, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

  • Do not rely solely on Caly for health or dietary decisions. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for personalized advice.
  • If you have an eating disorder, a medical condition affected by diet, or are pregnant or nursing, consult your healthcare provider before using the app.
  • Extreme calorie restriction based on app estimates may be harmful. Use the app responsibly.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Caly offers an auto-renewable subscription that unlocks the full experience. A free trial may be offered to new subscribers; if you do not cancel before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • All payments are processed by the Apple App Store. We do not process or store your payment information.
  • You can manage or cancel any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device.
  • You may restore previous purchases from the app's paywall or Settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its refund policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app;
  • Use the app to submit harmful, illegal, or infringing content;
  • Abuse or attempt to circumvent subscription mechanisms or trial offers;
  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and trademarks within Caly are owned by or licensed to the operator. You may not reproduce or distribute them without prior written consent. You retain ownership of the content you provide (such as your meal photos); you grant us only the limited right to process it to deliver the app's features, as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Third-Party Services

Caly relies on third-party services including OpenAI (AI food analysis), Open Food Facts (barcode nutrition lookup), Google Firebase, RevenueCat, Apple, and Hark. Your use of the app is also subject to their respective terms and policies.

9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

  • The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any reliance on AI-generated nutritional estimates.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using Caly at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, illegal activity, or abuse of the service.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
